Yvette Walker is an Australian LGBTQIA writer of Irish ancestry. She has a BA (Honours) and a PhD from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. Her debut novel, Letters to the End of Love (University of Queensland Press, 2013) is an epistolary novel which explores the history of the twentieth century through three sets of love letters. Letters to the End of Love won a 2014 Western Australian Premier’s Book Award and was shortlisted for a 2014 New South Wales Premier’s Book Award.

Yvette’s short fiction has been published in Review of Australian Fiction, The Nightwatchman and the YA Own Voice anthology, Meet Me at the Intersection (Fremantle Press 2018). She has been awarded several residencies at Varuna, the Writers' House and was a visting writer at Michael King Writers' Centre. Yvette is currently working full time on her second novel called Nazimova. This novel is about women working in early Hollywood, focusing specifically on the life of actor, director and producer Alla Nazimova (1880-1945).
